Keenan O'Meara
Dream folky bill of NYC locals at Manhattan Inn on July 25 with Wilsen, Belle Mare, and Keenan O'Meara

Three incredibly talented locals sharing a rootsy but dreamy sound will be performing at Manhattan Inn on Monday July 25th. Check out past Deli coverage: Wilsen (who graced the cover of The Deli's issue 36 back in 2013), Belle Mare, Keenan O'Meara.
Into the fire: An interview with Keenan O'Meara

Keenan O'Meara seems to hold music and life in the same palm, letting the two not just mirror each other but almost embrace in a partly painful, partly pleasant hug. A few times during a conversation on a recent morning at a Chelsea coffee shop, the Maryland-born individual spoke about his art by mentioning his general experience, reflecting outward his inner feelings. And that is just what he does with his September-released 'Awful Creature' EP; through searing, guitar-embered songs of troubled youths, anguished parents, and the flames that hurt but ultimately warm them, the Brooklyn-based musician looks inside and emerges with an intimately fiery work of art, a hearth from the cold. Taking time out of his tour with London musician Lianne La Havas, O'Meara talked about his background, his music, his creative process, and more. - Read Zach Weg's full interview with Keenan O'Meara.
Another Deli sponsored show 'At the Inn' with Sam Cohen, Adrianne Lenker and Keenan O'Meara

The Deli will be sponsoring another one of Hypnocraft’s free and open-to-the-public shows at the lovely Greenpoint restaurant and piano bar, Manhattan Inn. This event is part of the series, “At the Inn” and we are excited to announce that the line-up for this coming Monday, August 24th, is packed with some super-gifted folks. Sam Cohen of Apollo Sunshine and Yellowbirds will be returning to preform his captivating folk-rock, followed by the talented Adrianne Lenker whose alt love songs make our hearts swoon. The night will end with Keenan O’Meara, the folk singer/songwriter who recently released the haunting single, "Rainstorms" (streaming below). It should be a night to remember, filled with noteworthy performances in a cozy, intimate setting. We hope to see you there! - Lauren Schechter
