BOYTOY

Don't Miss Big Ups and Boytoy tonight at Baby's All Right (04.09)

NYC punk lovers should not miss tonight's show at Baby's All Right with last year's Deli Artist of the Year - the post-hardcore madmen Big Ups - and super talented garage poppers Boytoy, a female fronted trio with Australian roots that manages to merge influences as disparate as shoegaze and surf. They will be opening for Nashville's Turbo Fruits. We actually booked both bands last year at the punk stage of our NYC B.E.A.F. (Best of Emerging Artists Fest), which by the way will be back this year, again during the Northside Festival. Check out a recent single by Big Ups and an older song by Boytoy below.

BOYTOY unveils new video + plays Deli/Northside Punk/Garage Stage

Garage Pop trio Boytoy just premiered this hilarious video for single "Shallow Town" on Spin. You can catch the band live at the first one of our Northside shows at Silent Barn with Big Ups, Lost Boy and Weird Womb (among others) on Thursday 06.12

NYC Artists on the rise: BOYTOY

In most cases, a song is really all you need to understand how talented a band is - although if you want to go anywhere (in any field), talent must be integrated with consistence and persistence. "Visits" by BOYTOY (streaming) is a song that beautifully updates the sound of the 90s guitar pop in new exciting directions, with a mix of elements including the bubble pop of the 60s and the more sophisticated songwriting of bands like Camera Obscura. This is a great debut single for a new band.
